Mirablis Vita et Gloriosa Memoria

This painting was commissioned as a 70th birthday present by a husband for his wife. A great deal of ‘Top Secret’ communications via WhatsApp took place in the months, weeks then days before delivery of the finished and framed work! It all added to the excitement and building of the painting to include important people (and animals) in the recipients life as well as reflecting her career, hobbies and love of travel. The framed painting measured 112 x 112cm and had to be couriered through to Glasgow due to the current lockdown…it was then a major task for the gift-giver to hide the painting overnight until his wife’s birthday the next day! Happily, she is delighted with the painting…and I will miss the cloak and dagger WhatsApp communications with the commissioner!
